Can Miranda save the human race?
An elegant, sophisticated alien species on the verge of extinction has invaded Earth and confined an entire generation of young women, after negotiating a treaty with the world’s governments. Eager to help the aliens reproduce, but frightened by her imprisonment at Nidus, the Eslite medical compound, sixteen-year-old Miranda Mays endures callous scientific experiments in the Eslite’s quest for survival.
When Miranda discovers the ultimate consequences of her egg donations, she organizes a rebellion, enlisting fellow donors in her cause. But soon she realizes the mysterious headmaster, Dimas, knows of her plot. And there’s something about him that bothers Miranda, though she can’t describe it. The fate of humanity hangs in the balance, so she can’t back down. But will Dimas expose her defiance?

Pros:
-Miranda is a quite strong and intelligent character, yes she had her moments when she annoyed me but those moments just made her a more complete character in my mind.
-Kate: The perfect companion to Miranda, she brought great balance to the book, another strong character but in a different way so no cookie cutter characters
-Dimas: He intrigued me since the prequel and this book makes me want to see much more of him. I kind of picture him as a younger alien version of Tom Hiddleston.
-Overall all the characters were excellent, their presence made sense in the story, no one was just there to look pretty. Even Miranda's dad
-A very original Alien invasion very smart too, I can imagine how scared I would be to be selected to be a donor. It also was different to all the other alien stories where the plot focuses on the survival of a group in a ravaged planet, in this book the planet was “ok”.
Cons:
I really couldn’t find any cons in this book; the only thing that annoyed me a little bit was how many times the phrase “Mays are strong leaders. We never show weakness” I understand that Miranda but it bothered me a little bit.
