My pick this week is:

I have mixed feelings about this series, the first book in the series was amazing, I absolutely loved it but then came the second book and it was a train wreck (at least in my opinion), so I'm hoping this one is more about the "science" and less about the love triangle.

Monday Book Recommendations (24)

Monday is the day I choose what new books I’m going to start reading but I have so many books in my To Read Pile that sometimes it’s hard to choose so I have decided that on Monday mornings I’ll recommend some  of  my favorite books.

I'm Trella. I'm a scrub. A nobody. One of thousands who work the lower levels, keeping Inside clean for the Uppers. I've got one friend, do my job and try to avoid the Pop Cops. So what if I occasionally use the pipes to sneak around the Upper levels? The only neck at risk is my own…until I accidentally start a rebellion and become the go-to girl to lead a revolution.

     

I first read this book in 2012 and I must admit that I underestimated it since many reviews said that it was too similar to the Hunger Games but the only thing they have in common is that they are both set in a dystopian society.

IF I COULD GO ANYWHERE....

I've been having a little bit of wanderlust since I came back from my vacation from Pittsburgh, the thing is I'm no longer happy living in México City , it no longer fits the person that I am today or the person I want to be. Being in Pittsburgh it was so nice to be able to cross the street with being worried about some idiot running a red light and hitting me or not having to watch out for dog poop as I walk, so my new goal is to somehow move permanently to Pittsburgh, so I now have a long term goal!!

But before moving to Pittsburgh there is another place I want to visit.

Do you own any doubles of your books? What led to getting that second...or third or fourth...copy?

I don't really own many doubles since I usually end up selling any duplicates I might have, the only one that come to mind right now is the first book in the Accursed Kings series, I have it twice because I first bought it because I had to read it for school and since it was awesome I bough the boxed set of the series.

I'm very sad to say that even though it's very early in the year I have already found a book that I just simply couldn't  finish, my main problem with Zodiac was that it featured a Snowflake heroine Rho is special, different just because, no explanations needed she is superior to everyone else. The second problem was all the terminology there was too much of it to the point I got very confused and didn't know what meant what. 

I might pick up this book again and finish it but it certainly won't be soon.
