This Thursday I'm Sharing My Thoughts on Novellas

I think Novellas can either be a hit or miss, I think my main concern with Novellas is that sometimes they can be a bit pricy, I once paid $3 for about 20 pages of content and half of those pages were promoting other works by the author, so I can say I felt a bit scammed especially when authors like Marisa Meyer and Ann Aguirre write beautiful novellas and let people read them for free. But in general I do like them I love Pittacus Lore's Lost Files Novellas and Gilded Ashes by Rosamund Hodge is one of my favorite reads of the Year.

Today I'm Telling you about my favorite reading nooks.

I have three main reading spots:

1)My bed

2)My living room couch

3) The Gym

My bed and couch are a bit obvious they're both very comfy and have close access to many of my books, the gym is the option that people usually don't get but I discovered that  considering that I have a busy life those 45 minutes on the treadmill can be put to great use.

I'm not really picky about my book covers, most of them are mismatched and I really hadn't thought about it until I started blogging and I looked at the other bloggers beautiful shelfs with matching covers that I actually thought about it.

Today I'm sharing my thoughts on Audiobooks.

I don't really  like audiobooks; the main reason beign that I live in Mexico so all audiobooks or at least the ones I've found are from Spain and the spanish they speak there is very different from the one I speak and I really dislike their accents, so I have nothing agains audiobooks but I don't buy/borrow them.

Today I'm sharing my thoughts on The Power 

of Social Media.

I think social media has been an amazing tool for authors; it helps them communicate faster with their reader, share news and find out what people think about their work but at the same time it can be hard for readers because sadly some authors can’t take criticism and attack readers.

I personally like seeing what authors tweet because they’ll post updates, giveaways, promote other authors and they can answer questions and this was something you couldn’t do before.

Copies (ARCs)

I really didn't know that ARCs existed untill a few years ago but I really didn't pay attention to them since most publishers don't send them to my country, then I discovered NetGalley but many books also said that they would preffer US ans Uk readers so I don't really ask for them/recieve them. I usually end up signing up for Reads $ REviews on Goodreads.

I noticed that not everyone has the same mindset about certain aspects of reading, books, and everything bookish and wanted to not only share my own opinions on things, but hear other people's feelings on topics that we might not feel the same way about.

This was a very easy one; my favorite book store hands down is called Gandhi, although it’s a chain bookstore I can’t stay away. Here are the reasons:

   1)      It has a store five minutes away from my school; it’s also conveniently located in my favorite mall.

Here is a pic of the inside of the store. This location is a bit small but it's my favorite.

   2)      It has books on several languages, not just Spanish.

   3)      It has a loyalty card that with every purchase gives you back a percent of what you paid in store credit!

   4)      It has amazing discounts and deals, last December after spending $50 they gave me tickets to the Russian Ballet and on another occasions they give concert tickets.

   5)      Their amazing publicity campaigns, I’d post some but they only make sense in Spanish and if you live in Mexico City.
