Publicado por Lina Jiménez en 7:56 0 comentarios

W W W Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Sould be Reading. To play along you have to answer three questions:
  • What are you currently reading?
  • What did you recently finished reading?
  • What do you think you will read next?
My answers this week are:

What am I currently reading? Ravage by Jefff Sampson.
Last book in the Deviants series, I've enjoyed it so far.

What did I recently finished reading?  The Fiery Heart by Richelle Mead.
The only thing I can say is that I  need the next book in the series now.

What do I think I will read next? The Promise by Jessica Sorensen
I just want to know what will happen to Gemma and Alex.

It's Monday What Are You Reading (8)

This is a weekly meme hosted by Book Journey where you share what you just started reading.

This Monday I decided to read:

Title: Time After Time
Author:Tamara Ireland Stone
Pages: 368
Series: Time Between Us #2
Published: October 8th  2013
Publisher:Disney-Hyperion

Calling Anna and Bennett’s romance long distance is an understatement: she’s from 1995 Chicago and he’s a time traveler from 2012 San Francisco. The two of them never should have met, but they did. They fell in love, even though they knew they shouldn't. And they found a way to stay together, against all odds.

It’s not a perfect arrangement, though, with Bennett unable to stay in the past for more than brief visits, skipping out on big chunks of his present in order to be with Anna in hers. They each are confident that they’ll find a way to make things work...until Bennett witnesses a single event he never should have seen (and certainly never expected to). Will the decisions he makes from that point on cement a future he doesn't want?
Told from Bennett’s point of view, Time After Time will satisfy readers looking for a fresh, exciting, and beautifully-written love story, both those who are eager to find out what’s next for Time Between Us's Anna and Bennett and those discovering their story for the first time.

Super Six Sunday (6)

Publicado por Lina Jiménez en 8:30 1 comentarios

Super Six Sunday is an original bookish meme created from Bewitched Bookworms and inspired by “Top Ten Tuesday” from The Broke and The Bookish .

This weeks feature is Super Six Super 6 Characters that You Want to Be

1) Meggie Folchart from Inkheart by Cornelia Funke

I  would love to be able to bring characters out of books just by reading outloud.

2) Anne of Green Gables by L. M. Montgomery

I used to pretend that I was Anne, when I was younger.

3) Jo March from Little Women by Louisa May Alcott

The only thing I would do different from Jo is marry Laurie, but other than that I love her.

4) The Darkling from Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo

The Darkling is currently my favorite villian, it would be great to see what is going on in his head.

5) Beatrice Shakespeare Smith from Eyes Like Stars by Lisa Mantchev

I would love to live in a magical theatre where all the characters from the plays are alive.

6) Heidi by Johanna Spyri

Again a childhood dream of mine was to live in the Alps.

Feature and Follow Friday (6)

Publicado por Lina Jiménez en 8:19 5 comentarios

The Feature &and Follow is hosted by TWO hosts,  of Parajunkee's View and Alison Can Read. Each host will have their own Feature Blog and this way it’ll allow us to show off more new blogs!
This weeks Question:
Are there any book to movie adaptations where you think the movie is better than the book?

I recieved this book as a Christmas present and I hated it, so when they announced that there was going to be a film I didn't bother to go to the movies and see it. A few years later at a slumber party my friend insisted I watch it, so imagine my surprise when I actually loved the film. Then again anything with Meryl Streep is excellent.

In this case I saw the movie first, and I loved it, so when we left the theater I went to the nearest book shop and got the book but unforunately the characters that I loved on screen felt bland on paper and theplot that was so entertaining felt boring as I read.

I like the movie on slightly better than the book. I feel that the animation in the movie was so great that it only made you enjoy the story more.

Title: Erased
Series: Altered #2
Author: Jennifer Rush
Pages: 288
Date Published: January 7th 2014
They thought they had escaped. They were wrong.

After fleeing the Branch with Sam, Cas, and Nick, Anna is trying to make sense of the memories resurfacing from her old life. At the same time, she's learning how to survive in hiding, following Sam's rules: Don't draw attention to yourself. Always carry a weapon. Know your surroundings. Watch your back.
Then a figure from Anna's childhood reappears. Is it a Branch setup, or could it be the reunion Anna has hoped for? Uncertain of where her loyalties lie, Anna must fight to learn the truth -- before she is betrayed again. Ultimately, the answers hinge on one question: What was the real reason her memories were erased?
Jennifer Rush delivers a thrilling sequel to Altered in a novel packed with mysteries, lies, and surprises that are sure to keep readers guessing until the last page is turned.

I'm a sucker for books that endd in cliffhangers.
